NITROGEN FOR YOUR PORSCHE

Nitrogen molecules are bigger than oxygen molecules they do not pass through the microscopic pores present in the tyre walls, thus maintaining them at the right pressure for periods 3-4 times longer. Given that nitrogen does not contain oxygen it does not oxidise the metal rims of the tyres or the metal valves and for the same reason is not inflammable. These characteristics mean that a tyre filled with nitrogen maintains the tyre pressure at an optimal level, saving money and offering both greater comfort and safety to passengers. The main benefits of constant, optimum tyre pressure are: - Reduced fuel consumption - Improved grip - Reduced braking time - Prevention of blow-outs - Reduced wear on the tyre- longer average life - Elimination of damage caused by oxidation - Reduced stress to the car chassis. At Zentrum we can fill your tyres with nitrogen for ONLY £20 per car

New 2011 Cayenne

Porsche has yet to begin selling its all-new 2011 Cayenne in any market, but preorders for the revised SUV have apparently been outpacing CEO Michael Macht’s expectations.

“We’re looking at an incredibly high order intake from almost all markets,” Macht told reporters at the company’s factory in Leipzig, Germany. “Orders are clearly exceeding our expectations.” Those expectations, however, are still an unknown, as Macht wouldn’t provide any sales projections for the new Cayenne.

Still, Porsche is hoping the 2011 Cayenne will increase its momentum in the marketplace. After watching its first quarter sales in 2009 drop by nearly 40 percent, Porsche witnessed a strong second half, where sales fell by about 1.7 percent.

“Everything is suggesting that this negative trend seems to have ended,” Macht said. “[This is] encouraging news that indicates the end of the long drought is indeed in sight.”

The new Cayenne, which was first unveiled at the 2010 Geneva motor show, will be a key part of the automaker’s quest to increase annual sales to 150,000 cars within the next few years. Porsche is quite proud of the new Cayenne S Hybrid model, which packs the SUV with a parallel hybrid powertrain. The vehicle can be driven by a supercharged 3.0-liter V-6, a 47-horsepower electric motor, or a combination of the two power sources combined.

We’ll soon see if Macht’s optimism for the new Cayenne range will be long-lived. European deliveries are scheduled to begin on May 8, although North American sales of the Cayenne S and Cayenne Turbo won’t begin until July. Those waiting for a base Cayenne or the hybrid will have to wait a little longer, as Porsche says both models won’t reach U.S. dealers until this fall.
